Yanobox Tutorials
Nodes 3 and Mosaic

"Connected.  Abstract.  Procedural.  Geometric.  Particles.  Motion.  Graphics."  These are some of the things that come to mind when I think of Yanobox's plugin Nodes 3.  I mainly use Nodes 3 in Apple Motion, but this plugin also works in FCPX, After Effects and Premier Pro.  Are you interested in pixel texturing and adaptive tiling?  Mosaic, another plugin from Yanobox, does this and it does it very well.  Transform still images or video footage into some real eye candy with Mosaic.  For more information about Yanobox's awesome plugins, visit their website here.

Nodes 3 - Double Helix Animation Tutorial

The DNA Double Helix is included in the presets for Nodes 3.  However, in this tutorial, I will show you how to create this from scratch.  This tutorial will hopefully allow you to become more comfortable with the replicate effect as well as some animation, camera and color adjustments inside Nodes 3.

Nodes 3 - A Fiber Optic Scene

This scene is created from scratch and looks a little different than the included fiber optic preset that comes with Nodes 3.  We will focus on transforming the form, using the free position option for our connections, some rendering effects to add some depth, and finally some animations.

Nodes 3 - Animating Images

Take any image that you want, import it into Motion, and then animate it with the Nodes 3 plugin.  There are an infinite number of ways you can animate an image with all of the settings inside of Nodes 3.

Nodes 3 - A Complex Tunnel Animation

Alot is covered in this tutorial.  Replicating a grid form, using the modulo for nodes sizes, using the animation destinations directly inside of Nodes 3 and so much more.  This will ultimately allow you to create a unique tunnel of any regular polygon.
